Recycling Bins at Gambier’s Maintenance Barn

Due to the closing of the Recycling Center in Mount Vernon, the Village of Gambier and the Knox County Commissioners have agreed to the placement of 4 recycling containers at the back of the Gambier Maintenance Barn drive, located at 141 Meadow Lane. The driveway into the Maintenance Barn is right before the train at the Kokosing Gap Trail. The containers are on the left end of the loop in the back of the Maintenance Barn.

The containers are available for residents of Knox County to use. They are emptied twice a week by Waste Management. There is postings on the outside of the bins as to what recycling can be deposited in the bins for pick-up. The recycling doesn’t need to be sorted.

Curbside pick-up for Gambier residents will continue to be done on Thursday mornings. Please have your recycling out to the curb by 8:00 a.m.
